A website dedicated to my academic year long journey and education through public radio production/journalism. Which I was able to study through the Independent Study Mentorship (ISM) program at my high school.
With the help of my Independent Study Mentorship teacher, Mrs.Maria Cisneros and of course, my mentor Ms.Alexandra Hart.

Fun Facts About Radio!
- The early/mid 1950s' was when the 'Top 40' format of a radio show was developed!
- FM (Frequency Modulation) radio was developed by Edwin Armstrong and worked to improve radio by eliminating most of the static, while also improving the overall sound!
- "Drive Time" radio attracts the largest medium of listeners. ('Drive Time' radio meaning the time in which commuters travel at certain times in the evening or morning, it became really important after the 1960s').
- Sirius and XM were once separate ad-less radio stations, that listeners paid a monthly fee to, until they merged in 2009! Creating 'Sirius XM' radio!
- By the start of the 21st century, most radio stations were able to stream online! Which allowed them to reach a new audience and make it possible for them to reach new listeners! (Growing to 180 million monthly!)
- Radio is able to make an emotional connection that is unlike any other medium. (Audiences laugh more, are made to think more, and trust radio hosts!) -It's the top reach medium!
- 247 MILLION people listen to radio every week! (But lets make it more by tuning in!)
